Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative
A Change From Prior Travel ID Requirements.

ALL persons, including U.S. citizens, entering the United States from countries within the Western Hemisphere who do not currently possess valid passports, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING.
This initiative will be implemented in two phases, with the proposed timeline as follows:
January 23, 2007 - A valid PASSPORT will be required for all AIR travel to/from Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda
January 1, 2008 - A valid PASSPORT will be required for all AIR, LAND and SEA travel to/from Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda
Updated information can be attained at the US Department of State's website.
