Who Sails With Us | Why Charter a Tall Ship | One Stop Shopping

We’ll make your group or charter a breeze from start to finish!
Windjammer Barefoot Cruises is the original tall ship cruise line,
offering the most authentic sailing experience for the best price in
the industry. Our classic fleet of sailing ships criss-cross the
turquoise blue waters of the Caribbean year round. From the Bahamas to
South America we call on over fifty exotic ports.
Windjammer’s signature is casual fun. T-shirts and shorts are the
uniform of the day. You can take your turn at the helm or relax with
your feet propped up on the rail. Life ashore is yours for the making…
beach bumming all-day or full of adventure. Nights on board are filled
with dancing on deck, laughter and sharing great times with your
shipmates. If this sounds like your idea of fun, all you have to do is
pick a ship, then sit back and let us do all the work - before you know
it you’ll be bare foot and loving life!
From the moment you make contact with our group sales department, your
worries are over. Our expert sales staff is ready and willing to handle
every aspect of your voyage. With over 30 years combined experience,
they have dealt with every possible scenario and request. And if you
think you’re in good hands now, wait until you meet the crew!

Our passengers range from age six to well, timeless. And they come from
all over the world. But no matter the age or nationality, there are
some common interests that bring people to Windjammer. A sense of
adventure, a love of life and the magical feeling that fills your soul
when the sails are raised and the ship takes flight. Whatever your
collective interest – be they alpine skiing or zoology, you’ll be in
good company with folks from all walks of life… as the past six decades
have proven.

Freedom to Be You
You set the schedule, chose your meals and even decided who could come
along. What else can you possibly do to make this ship your own? We
allow you to display your company logo freely throughout the ship.
Menus, napkins, banners, sheets… you can even fly the company flag. But
if you want to say it loud and proud, display your corporate logo on
our giant sails. Yes, it’s been done before. Now that’s what we call
CUSTOM!

FLEXIBLE ITINERARIES
Tell us where you want to go. The Caribbean is our back yard, and we’ve
been sailing these waters for over 55 years. We know all the nooks and
cranny’s and preferred ports ‘o call, but this doesn’t mean that you
don’t have a choice. Choose from one of our existing itineraries or
select the islands you want to visit (within reason of course). And if
you decide at the last minute that you really like a particular island
and want to stay an extra day – no problem. We don’t believe in fixed
schedules, unless of course you want one. The only regiment on a
Windjammer is the rise and setting of the sun.
Land Ho! Our ships sail mostly at night, so your group can spend the
whole day exploring the islands or simply relaxing on the beach.

 |
EXCLUSIVITY
Our smallest ship carries 64 passengers; our largest 122. Numbers like
these would get lost in the crowd on a mega-liner. On a Windjammer, you
are the crowd!
The ship is yours for the week… your private yacht. You decide who
comes along. Whether it’s a bunch of friends, family, or incentive
group – a charter gives you exclusive rights to the ship and the fun
has just begun. With ownership, comes privilege - you decide where you
want to go, when you want to get there and what each day will bring.

CULINARY DELIGHTS
Our chefs create hearty dishes that combine American and Caribbean
cooking styles. They use locally grown produce and serve up home-style
meals that taste great and stick to your ribs – giving you enough
energy for late night dance sessions. We’ll work with you to plan a
menu that’s just right. If you prefer couscous over rice, we’ll make it
happen. Food allergies or dietary preferences? We can accommodate.
We’ll do our best to make all of your culinary wishes a reality.

...unless of course that’s what you prefer. On a Windjammer, you can do
as little or as much as you like. Your Activities Mate keeps the action
going non stop with plenty of fun and interesting activities. She can
even help plan your events… whether adult, business or family oriented.
ALL ASHORE Ashore you can trek through a rainforest. Take a jeep
safari. Climb a coconut tree. Go horseback riding or relax on a
beautiful white sand beach. Sample the rum at a local distillery or
enjoy high tea at a restored plantation house. Go bird watching at a
nature sanctuary. Talk to a monkey. Bathe in the pool of a cascading
waterfall or chill at a beach bar. Get intoxicated by the alluring
scents of the flora and fauna at a botanical garden or the locally
grown spices at the farmer’s market. Take a nap in the shade of a palm
tree or dine on something exotic while you people watch at a seaside
café.

WALK THE PLANK The Caribbean Sea is so inviting – jump off the ship and
go for a swim. Snorkel to magnificent reefs just a few fin kicks from
the shore. Crew an authentic America’s Cup boat to victory. How’s that
for team a building activity? Learn to scuba – we can teach you*.
Kayak, windsurf or zip around on a jet ski. Swim with the dolphins or
grab a big blue mat and float the day away!

ALL ABOARD All Aboard Back on board attend a sailing class
conducted by the first mate. Sing along to traditional sea shanties; and learn to tie nautical
knots – a handy skill in day-to-day life. Take your turn at the helm or
answer the call for all hands and help the crew raise the sails. When
the canvas catches the wind – the bowsprit points to adventure!
* Certified PADI dive instructors available on select ships and
itineraries.

Ship Shape
Our vintage vessels were once owned by American blue bloods and European royalty. They have even graced the pages of National
Geographic. Refurbished to include all of today’s modern comforts, ships feature spacious decks, dining saloons and air conditioned cabins
that include private baths and bedding to suit your needs.
Thanks to Captain Mike Burke who saved these beauties from the inevitable, and kept the dream of sailing a classic alive!
PUBLIC SPACES

DECKS - It’s where you hang out on a tall ship. Our decks are spacious
and open. It’s where we meet friends, relax, read, watch sunsets, dance
and play games. There are also plenty of built in benches and covered
areas to protect you from the sun.

SALOON AND GALLEY - In ship speak, a saloon is the dining room and the
galley is the kitchen. Depending on the ship, there are normally two
open style sittings. The dress code is casual (yes, t-shirts and shorts
are okay) and dinner is served sit down or buffet style. The galley
accommodates special dietary requests with advance notice.

BAR - Open from 10:00 am to the wee hours of dawn, you will find one or
two bars on board. They serve everything from cold bottled water to the
best tropical rum drinks you ever tasted.

MEETING SPACE - Hold your meeting on the top deck or in the Main
Saloon. Audio Visual equipment can be set up if requested. If you
prefer not to mix business with pleasure, we would be happy to make
arrangements for pre-or post cruise meeting rooms ashore.
CABINS

All cabins are air-conditioned. Size and bedding varies. Choose a Suite with a double bed, a Standard Cabin with bunk beds or a cabin built for
one. There’s plenty of room to stow your gear and 110V outlets are available for those who feel the need to primp with blow dryers and electric razors.
